Welcome to HCL Softball

As a member of the American Collegiate League, alongside the Florida Gulf Coast League (FGCL) and Music City Collegiate League (MCCL) the Heartland's inaugural summer collegiate softball season will feature a 25-game schedule, an all-star event, games against the Florida Vibe, international competition and a postseason tournament. Student-athletes will come to Omaha, Nebraska, to compete on the diamond in an area of the country that has produced some of the NCAA's best softball talent in recent years.

With multiple teams representing something unique about the greater-Omaha area, the HCL will consist of collegiate softball players from all of the country, spanning multiple divisions and conferences.

Located in the heart of the country, Omaha is a hidden gem. Every June, the city welcomes college baseball fans from all over the country to attend the NCAA Men's College World Series. The Omaha Storm Chasers, the Triple-A affiliate of Major League Baseball's Kansas City Royals call this wonderful city home.

While here, athletes and fans can enjoy Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium, which ranks as one of the world's best zoos. The city also features a thriving culinary scene and boasts a variety of bars, music venues, bike trails, museums and shopping.

There is something for everyone in the Heartland.
